Choose 2 newspapers - 1 broadsheet and 1 tabloid - analyse the SAME news story in both newspapers. Consider how the same news story is delivered in the different papers. Look at the register of the language used, opinions given on the story, what quotations are used, and how are people quoted, the writer's voice, images used etc. Gaby

• Any other information about this language that you think may be interesting for other members of the class.

2. Using the internet as a resource, find out what speakers of this language have contributed to the culture of the UK.
